YJV23 Chemical corrosion resistance High-Voltage Cable

Characteristics:
YJV23 is a copper conductor cross-linked polyethylene insulated single-layer steel tape armored polyethylene sheathed power cable. The main difference from YJV22 lies in its outer sheath being polyethylene (PE) instead of polyvinyl chloride (PVC), and typically featuring a single-layer steel tape armor (non-gap). The PE sheath provides the cable with superior water resistance, chemical corrosion resistance, and environmental stress cracking resistance, making it particularly suitable for direct burial, humid, or corrosive environments. The single-layer armor offers certain mechanical protection while maintaining good flexibility.

Advantages:
High conductivity: Copper conductor has low resistivity, reducing transmission losses and improving power transmission efficiency.
Strong mechanical protection: Steel tape armor provides good resistance to compression and impact, suitable for direct burial or moderately complex environmental installation.
Stable electrical performance: Cross-linked polyethylene insulation offers good resistance to partial discharge, low dielectric loss, and high long-term operational reliability.
Wide environmental adaptability: Polyethylene sheath is resistant to moisture and corrosion, suitable for various scenarios such as outdoor, tunnel, and pipeline applications.
Chemical corrosion resistance: Polyethylene sheath has strong resistance to chemical media such as acids and alkalis, making it suitable for corrosive environments.


Application Scope:
Mainly used for fixed power transmission systems requiring direct burial, resistance to humidity, or weak corrosive environments, such as agricultural irrigation, riverbanks, wastewater treatment plants, coastal areas, and outdoor locations with specific weather resistance requirements for the sheath material.


Special Notes:
The PE sheath has poor mechanical abrasion resistance; use with caution or add protective conduits in environments prone to friction or external impact; single-layer armor offers slightly lower crush resistance compared to double-layer armor (YJV22); its good low-temperature resistance facilitates construction in cold regions; not suitable for indoor dense installations with extremely high flame-retardant requirements.
